'I Wish That I Had Not Re-Connected With Her'

“They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us” (1John 2:17).

Have you ever done something and then wished that you had not? Maybe, let me ask the question another way...

Have you ever looked up a longtime friend and then wished that you had not? Yes. I know that you understand! Well, that happened to me recently.

When I begun the walk into fulltime ministry, I was confused but determined to ‘do this’...that is after running from GOD like Job did! Besides, GOD had made it quite clear that He was going to close all other doors if I did not walk into this one and that was settled! In other words, even though I would have considered to run some more, I would not have had any doors to run into! Therefore, I chose the only and much better option – to go with GOD’S plan for my life.

Now, when GOD walked in, He came with a number of changes and one of them was a name change. Even though the name change was very welcome to me, it was not that welcome to many. Some tried to convince me to continue carrying my father’s name and to answer to my Muslim first name that GOD had wisely replaced! They pushed and prodded as hard as they could, giving me so many reasons that I honestly did not care about. The woman that I contacted, recently, was one of them. Due to this, I was so unhappy with her during that time of transition that I stopped all communication with her and somehow lost her number over the years. For a while there, I believed that I had been petty and that I should not have been angry with her. I also believed that I should have stayed in touch with her by visiting her office as I used to. Nonetheless, the memory of our last conversation (years back) was enough to make me stay immobile where our friendship was concerned. At that time, all that I had needed was support and understanding but all that I had received from her was thinly veiled rebuttal and accusations! Therefore, even though I would often think about her over the years of her absence in my life, I was not motivated enough to look for her.

However, a few days back, I happened to be on gardens that house her offices and I made it to her office. Not finding her there, I requested for and received her telephone contact and got in touch with her. I must say that she was worse than when I had left her! She was so negative that only a few seconds into our conversation, I was wondering why I had gotten in touch with her in the first place. Actually, I could not wait to get off the phone by the time we ‘said our goodbyes’.

Finally, I knew. I got the revelation that the season for our friendship ended long time ago! In fact, when GOD made those changes, some people had to go so that I could carry my new name with others who had not known me then. I also learned that not everyone will understand your ‘GOD walk’, therefore, do not labor to explain it to them. Simply ignore them, when in their presence, or move on from them as you take care of kingdom business. It is more important for you to do what you have been called to do, the way you have been called to do it including the changes that GOD has seen fit to bring about into your life instead of trying to fit with people who do not understand you anymore.

I also learned that she would probably never change so I either had to keep away from her if I could or I had to mature so much that nothing she would ever say would ever destabilize me again. I chose to stay away.

I also admitted that I had been right to let her go the first time round and very wrong to try to ‘reconnect’ with her! Granted, we had needed each other several years back but that season is over now. Of course, I will still love her but I will also be alert to the fact that Christ changes things when He walks in and that I am one of the things that He changed. You see, my former friend is still the same person - I was the one who was changed! Therefore, I cannot expect her to change with me...that would be selfish!

It is also important for us to be wise enough to understand that, sometimes, GOD separates us from people because they did not belong with us. If they had belonged with us, they would have stayed with us but they went out from us! Therefore, they did not belong here!

Consequently, I urge you to be wise enough to know that some people will not be the understanding friends that they once were now that you are walking according to GOD’S plan for you. Accept it and leave that door shut.

Prayer

Almighty GOD, I thank you for the many friends that you gave me before I accepted your call on my life. However, I now realize that that season of my life is over. Please give me the insight to realize that before trying to reconnect with them. I thank you, LORD, because you have done it. In Jesus’ name, I have prayed, amen.

Sling Stones

22nd March 2013

“This is the time when wars will be won with sling stones (David’s sling stones). Giants will be slain using very simple methods that could be easily passed over”.

“Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell face down on the ground. So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him” (1Samuel 17:49-50).

I met David a few months back. He is all of two years old. David never proceeds past the threshold of my office no matter how much I usher him in. However, today, things were different! David walked in, tenderly, putting one tiny foot after another. I was nicely surprised. I lifted him onto a chair and noticed that he was holding a stone...a small rock in his hand. However, as he gently settled into his seat, it fell out of his hand and I thought that he would forget it. I was wrong. As soon as he was ready to leave, he picked up his stone and left with it!

As usual, this situation led along the spiritual road and the Spirit of the living GOD reminded me of one prophetic word that He gave me years back. I knew that this was happening now. I knew that little king David had come to deliver a word from GOD and that wars would be won using sling stones, indeed!

Keep Your Peace

I often wonder why it is so hard for me to give off all the fruit of the Spirit all the time. It is especially hard for me to do so when there are so many things that annoy me on a day-to-day basis. I know that I have to be loving at all times, to forgive at all times, to be self controlled at all times, to be peaceful at all times but...I am not always all these things all the time! I do not know about you but I really need the Spirit of GOD to help me in this area.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires” (Galatians 5:22-23).

Now, there is that feeling that always follows anger...that feeling of wanting to hold on to self-justification...self-pity...It is a feeling that you are not too willing to let go of! It is as if you want to hold it close to your chest so that you can keep that person in the ‘guilty seat’...the HOT SEAT!

I do not know if I am the only one who goes through this but, sometimes, because someone is not repentant enough or does not act repentant enough, I hold on to that feeling – I know you know which one. It seems as if I purpose to hold on to that self- pity so that I can justify myself and prove my innocence but also prove the guilt of the other party.

Listen. Something happened to me recently in relation to this. It was not the first time that it was happening to me and I felt sad...annoyed...hurt...bitter...and all those feelings that you also feel, sometimes, but that no one knows about! Anyway, I knew that it was a test and that I had to pass it. Therefore, I prayed. I prayed that I would not say or do anything to abort GOD’S plan for me. I knew that GOD wanted me to learn something but also that He wanted to teach the other person something. The way that I responded would determine so many things. Therefore, I maintained my peace, put my finger on the mouth and KEPT SILENCE. Now, even if I seemed to keep my peace, outwardly, I was BURNING UP on the inside – I was livid! However, since I am very careful about not operating in the flesh but in the Spirit at all times, I knew that what I was feeling was not Godly, and so determined to regain my peace.

Just this morning, I realized that I still had those negative feelings. I then wondered what Jesus would have done in such a situation...I wondered what feelings He would have had and if He would have nurtured any negative feelings. I prayed. I asked Him to help me feel exactly how He would have felt.

I must tell you that a certain thought kept flitting in and out of my mind during this entire scenario. The thought that I had asked Jesus to teach me how to be a good shepherd and to teach me how to lead as He led took permanent residence in my mind. Soon after asking Jesus to give me His feelings, if He found Himself in a similar situation, I began feeling peace. I slowly let go of the negative feelings, by the grace of GOD, and began to return to my usual ‘place of inner peace’.

I now realize that the good Shepherd, Jesus, must have had instances such as the one that I had had. I know that He must have kept His peace in all situations even as I know that He requires the same of me. I now know that we must purpose to remain in His peace regardless of what attacks we face on a daily basis.

I then remembered that even as this war had waged itself in my mind, I had purposed to be SILENT because it is a practice of mine. It is important that I speak only the heart and mind of GOD or else be SILENT!

How many times do we fail the test? How many times do we open our mouths and say something that is completely out of the will of GOD?

I know that GOD has allowed me to share this with you for a reason. I know that you, too, have to purpose to keep your peace at all times. You should not allow the devil to steal your peace. You should give off all the fruit of the Spirit at all times.

Prayer

Dear GOD, sometimes, I lose my peace about certain situations yet you demand that I give off the fruit of the Spirit at all times. Please forgive me.

Lord Jesus, I know that you are the best example of a good leader that I could ever ask for. Please give me those qualities that you exuded when you were here on earth. Teach me to be peaceful all the time regardless of what happens to me and around me.

Holy Spirit, please take your rightful place in my spirit, body and soul. Help me to crucify the sinful nature and all its passions so that I can give off your fruit all the time.

Father, please give me peace of mind at all times so that only peace comes out of me when I am tempted. Let me give off the fruit of righteousness, which is peace and its effect, which is silence. May I be silent during those times even when I would have spoken nonsense and aborted your plans for me. I thank you, Lord, because you have done it. In Jesus’ name, I have prayed, amen.

Cancer of the Esophagus

As I was writing an earlier post (on zionmukisa.blogspot.com) entitled ‘...I WILL...’, I remembered a woman I met a few months back who was healed of cancer of the esophagus. I must have forgotten to tell you about it. I feel prompted to tell you that GOD healed someone of cancer of the esophagus.

I do not know who needs to hear it but I know that this word is for someone out there. I cannot go into detail about it but all I can say is that she is cancer free. Please be encouraged that the same GOD who healed that woman of that cancer is the same GOD who can heal you of the same cancer.

GOD BLESS YOU.

"...for He Is a Prophet..."

Have you ever done something foolish and acknowledged that it was your fault? Sometimes, I refer to it as ‘sleeping on my watch while the thief breaks in’ and takes what I have been given responsibility over!

We sometimes do things that declare us GUILTY but because we are prophets of the Most High GOD, He declares us innocent and punishes the other party instead! You see, GOD tells the other party to return what belongs to us for we are His prophets!

“Now Abraham moved on from there into the region of the Negev and lived between Kadesh and Shur. For a while he stayed in Gerar, and there Abraham said of his wife Sarah, “She is my sister.” Then Abimelech king of Gerar sent for Sarah and took her. But God came to Abimelech in a dream one night and said to

him, “You are as good as dead because of the woman you have taken; she is a married woman.” Now Abimelech had not gone near her, so he said, “Lord, will you destroy an innocent nation? Did he not say to me, ‘She is my sister,’ and didn’t she also say, ‘He is my brother’? I have done this with a clear conscience and clean hands.” Then God said to him in the dream, “Yes, I know you did this

with a clear conscience, and so I have kept you from sinning against me. That is why I did not let you touch her. Now return the man’s wife, for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you will live. But if you do not return her, you may be sure that you and all yours will die. (Genesis 20:1-7)”

At a certain time of his life, Abraham lived in the land of Gerar. During his stay in this land, Abraham lied to the king (Abimelech) that Sarah (his wife) was his sister. Therefore, she was taken into the king’s harem. Now, one night GOD appeared to Abimelech in a dream and rebuked him for taking Abraham’s wife. He commanded him to take her back to Abraham or else he and his household would die. GOD also told Abimelech that Abraham was a prophet and that if he prayed for him and his people, they would live.

Now, we often find ourselves in situations that we walked into ourselves...nasty situations that came about by our own doing. However, because we are prophets of the Most High GOD, GOD rebukes the other party instead! He declares us INNOCENT and orders the enemy to return what is rightfully ours.

Now, I honestly do not know what you got yourself into this time but GOD wants you to know that it is important to Him that you are His prophet. He can do, for you, what He did for Abraham. However, do you know who you are in the kingdom of GOD? Have you given your life to Christ? Do you serve GOD? How does GOD refer to you when rebuking someone concerning what is rightfully yours?

You must know that GOD looks out for you. He protects your ‘property’ and even warns people against it whether or not you foolishly handed it to them on a silver platter.

Give your life to Christ if you have not already done so. Find out what term GOD uses when referring to you or if you already know it, remind Him that you are His prophet. Tell Him your situation, admit that you were at fault and ask Him to do for you what He did for Abraham. Tell Him to speak to ‘Abimelech’ in a dream and rebuke him for taking what is yours. Ask GOD to command Abimelech to return your property or else he is destroyed!

Prayer

Dear GOD, I slept during my watch and foolishly handed over what belongs to me to someone else! Please forgive me. LORD, I know that I am your prophet and that what is mine should never be touched by another. Please help me get it back. Appear to ‘Abimelech’ in a dream and warn him against taking what is mine. Command him to let it go so that I can pray for him and his entire household. I thank you, LORD, because you have done it. In Jesus’ mighty name, I have prayed, amen.

Hold On

Hold On
A few days back, on 1st April 2016, GOD spoke and I released what He said to the world. However, I did not know that it would apply to me as well. You see, sometimes, GOD will say something that I think is for everyone else but me. Then suddenly, something happens to make me realize that GOD was preparing me for it through that word.

1st April 2016

Do not give in to the flesh.

It is without a doubt that at least one person will annoy you and at least one more will misunderstand you every day but do not give in. Do not let pettiness, anger, and all those negative...immature actions and reactions rob you of the prize. If you can only hold on...if you can only step past the anger and the pain, you will receive your true reward that is just around the corner!

I cannot pretend not to notice that my ministry is growing. GOD has led me into directions that I had never thought about. Although I had received prophecies about it, I did not expect it to happen so soon but it did. I did not notice the growth until the attacks came. Even though GOD had warned me that I was going to fight the night before and I had prayed against it, I did not know that it would actually happen. Suddenly the work of GOD was questioned and an order released stopping some of the activities. I was saddened. Of course, GOD had revealed it to me that she was not happy but I could not go against the word of GOD. Therefore, I understood that the person behind the attack was hurt and acting in a carnal way. Suddenly, tempers flared (including my own) and I considered throwing in the towel! However, as usual, GOD spoke and told me not to give in to the flesh (anger) and to HOLD ON but I did not want to. He then told me to STAND but I still did not want to until He spoke again!

Since I hearkened to His voice, the next day I saw growth in a way that I had not anticipated. My reward, as His word had said a few days prior to that was just around the corner!

Today, I believe that GOD is telling you the same thing. I know that GOD spoke and that you feel wrongly accused but do not give in to the flesh. Hold on and stay the course. GOD will soon prove Himself to you.

Hide 'it' Under the Blood of Jesus

You will agree with me that the blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all sin is so powerful that it can do, and it does, so many other things as well.

“...and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanseth us from all sin” (1John 1:7).

So many years ago while I was still a Muslim, my sister (Joy) who had been converted to Christianity already, told me about the blood of Jesus that her mother-in-law had told her about. Therefore, I started securing my belongings with the blood of Jesus and I have never been the same again.

When I later gave my life to Christ, I learned more about it and it became one of my favorite prayer points. Now, I hide everything that I own under the blood of Jesus. As soon as I receive something new, I cover it under the blood of Jesus and prophesy over it what I would like to see happen to it.

Now, I once I covered my flash disk under the blood of Jesus and prophesied over it that it would never ‘crush’ or get lost. As if to test the word of GOD, I have misplaced it so many times but I have always found it. You see, after panicking that I have lost it, I remember that I covered it under the blood of Jesus and prophesied over it. Therefore, even if I may not know where it is, I know that I will find it because I covered it under the blood of Jesus and decreed that it would never get lost. Of course, it is never lost - I may forget it at the studio or at an internet cafĂ© or simply in one of my purses. However, it is so easy for someone to pick it from a public place such as a studio but no one does because it is protected.

In fact, I plead the blood of Jesus over everything that has my name written on it as soon as I get it. I must tell you that this prayer has never fallen to the ground. I say it over people and situations as well. You must also know that you can apply the blood of Jesus to anything and to anyone including your job, your husband, or wife, even to your children. You can plead it over anything and it will never disappoint you.

Today, the Spirit of GOD wanted me to share this with you and I know that it will help you as well. You must remember that I first applied it when I was still a Muslim and it worked even then! The blood of Jesus, if applied, will not disappoint even if you belong to another religious inclination. However, the benefits of Christianity do not stop only at the blood of Jesus. There are so many benefits that we received from Jesus Christ including salvation itself. You have to go deeper with GOD. Even though the blood will definitely work for you, you need to know Christ Himself as your personal Lord and Savior. You need to give your life to Him even as He gave His for you.

Let this day be a life changing one for you as the day that I first heard of the blood was to me. Yes, you may know about it already but I believe that GOD wanted you to hear this for a reason. Think about your life and apply it to that situation that keeps bothering you. Ask the Spirit of GOD to show you where you need to apply it and how you need to pray about it.

Prayer

Dear GOD, I thank you for your Son and I thank you for the blood that He shed on Calvary. I thank you for the power that is in the blood. I now cover everything of mine under the precious blood of Jesus. I decree that no one will ever steal anything that belongs to me and that I have covered under the blood of Jesus.

I cover my destiny in the blood of Jesus and I decree that Satan will never steal it – he will never put his hands on it.

Dear GOD, I know that you love me even though I have never given my life to you. I thank you for the benefits that come with the blood of Jesus. I have tried it and I now know that it works! Seeing the power that is in the blood of Jesus, I now believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is indeed your Son. I believe that He died for my sins and rose again. I now repent of all my sins and choose to live for you. I ask you to write my name in the book of life.

Please fill me with your Holy Spirit so that He can guide me in this walk. I cover myself under the blood of Jesus and I decree that I shall never turn back to my old ways. I decree that I shall serve you and you alone. I thank you, LORD, because you have done it. In Jesus’ name, I have prayed, amen.
