The Spirit of Death and Headaches

There is a spirit of death prowling around families. Come against it in Jesus’ name.

 

“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).

 

Headaches, sore throats, and coughs are ailing many in this season. No amount of medicine has been able to arrest them. They are satanic attacks. Pray against them, in Jesus’ name, remembering that by His stripes you are healed.

 

“For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour; I give Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your stead. Since you are precious and honoured in my sight, and because I love you, I will give men in exchange for you, and people in exchange for your life” (Isaiah 43:3, 4).

 

Hide yourself and your loved ones in the blood of Jesus and do not forget to confess that GOD gives Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your stead!

 

Prayer

 

Heavenly Father, I thank you for revealing the plans of the devil to me. When you give me revelation, I know that my battle is won already. Right now, I come against the spirit of death that is hovering over my loved ones and me. I cancel death in the name of Jesus. I block, with the blood of Jesus, the mouths of all graves with our names on them. I block, with the blood of Jesus, all roads that the spirit of death would have used to gain access to my family and me. I use the blood of Jesus to block all roads that my loved ones and I would have used to lead us to any graves. Father, I thank you for you have given Egypt for our ransom, and Cush and Seba in our stead and men in exchange for our lives because we are precious and honored in your sight but also because you love us.

 

I now come against satanic headaches, sore throats, and coughs and I block all roads that lead them to us and us to them. I confess that by your stripes I am healed. I thank you, LORD, because you have heard me and answered already. In Jesus’ name, I have prayed, amen.  

America and 'Absalom'

A few days back GOD revealed it to me that ‘America Back to GOD’ is not merely a name for a conference but a prophetic utterance. He said that indeed America has gone back to GOD. He then confirmed it in a conversation with a friend.

 

 

 

Absalom

 

Beware of incest as ‘Absalom’ fakes ailment and satiates his lust for his sister ‘Tamar’.

 

A son is going to betray his father and cunningly prize the ‘kingdom’ out of his hands just as Absalom did. I see the kingdom in form of a very successful business empire.

 

Due to the father’s indiscretion with ‘Bathsheba’, GOD is going to allow the son to sleep with his father’s concubines in broad daylight! Nonetheless, GOD will restore the kingdom to the father.

GOD Is Kind

I meet many people and I talk to just as many people. However, not everyone I meet and talk to obeys counsel and this saddens me. Some disobey the voice of GOD and refuse to follow the kingdom principles. However, it is very surprising that GOD is not as hard on them as we are! He is very gracious. GOD is kind.

 

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room

enough for it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit,” says the LORD Almighty” (Malachi 3:10-11).

 

I met a certain woman a few years ago and as we related, GOD spoke. He pointed out areas in which she needed to change and do right with the kingdom of GOD so that her business would prosper but also because GOD expects it of all of us.

 

GOD encouraged her to return His tithe and offering dutifully as well as make some wise decisions concerning growth in her business. Well, she tithed for a while and then stopped! She then refused to take on the financial wisdom accorded her. In fact, at one point GOD said that she was stuck in that situation because of her disobedience. She still did not listen – she did not change!

 

I must admit that she has had to step into the big shoes of her husband and provide for her family seeing that he has had a few setbacks over the years. However, the principles of GOD’S kingdom do not change and we are expected to keep them regardless of what we are going through at any given time.

 

I am usually not very accommodative of people who disobey GOD’S word or instruction. However, something interesting happened today. As I was thinking about her situation and praying for her GOD led me in another direction. He led me to pray for His grace upon her! The grace of GOD is a demonstration of His love for us.

 

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

 

You see, while we were still sinners Christ died for us. When GOD sent His Son and He came to dwell among us, as His word had said through the Prophets, we were still sinners! In fact, because He loved us so much, He accorded us His grace while we were still sinners... He gave us His grace BECAUSE we were sinners! Do you realize that we needed His grace because we were sinners? You and I still need this grace because we do sin unintentionally, sometimes. Of course, this is not to say that we should intentionally disobey Him because that would be taking His grace for granted but that when we do sin, His grace is sufficient to ferry us across!

 

“...But where sin increased, grace increased all the more” (Romans 5:20).

 

“What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning, so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer” (Romans 6:1-2)?

 

“As God’s fellow-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain” (2Corinthians 6:1).

 

As the realization that I just prayed His grace over this woman and her situation regardless of whether she had obeyed the voice of GOD hit me, I marveled at GOD’S kindness. He is much kinder than I am! I was ready to condemn her once again but GOD was gracious enough to turn His face away from her sin! I am certain that her situation is going to change for the better not because of her obedience but because of the grace of GOD.

 

Nonetheless, you must realize that the grace He accords us when we sin, or disobey Him, is available to us before we do. Therefore, we should ask Him for His grace to obey Him. I pray that the woman above will be wise enough to obey GOD but also to apply the true kingdom principles as clearly stipulated in the word of GOD. She should also be wise enough to take divine counsel when given it.

 

Now, I know that GOD has let me share this with you for a reason. He wants to remind you of His grace. Stop condemning yourself and tap into His grace. Even when walking in His grace, remember that He is the GOD who gives us the opportunity to do right next time. Do right next time.

 

Prayer

 

Dear GOD, I confess that I have been too hard on your people. Please forgive me. I now know that your grace is indeed sufficient. I know that even if you require us to be obedient, you are a gracious GOD and will sometimes give us what we desire regardless of our disobedience. Thank you, LORD.

 

I now ask you to help me to be obedient to you and to receive and follow divine counsel. Help me not to take your grace for granted and when I am corrected, may I receive correction and do your word to the letter. I thank you, LORD, because you have done it. In Jesus’ name, I have prayed, amen.  

 

 

GOD Can Handle it - Do Not Defend Him!

Do you, sometimes, feel like ‘defending GOD’? Do you, sometimes, catch yourself in an argument with an intention of defending GOD or His word?

 

“Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels” (2Timothy 2:23). 

 

A few weeks back, a Christian mother who has taken time to instill the word of GOD into her children was faced with a ‘situation’. Someone mentioned some words that seemed to nullify all that she had taught her children and brought them up to believe. Her reaction was human – she had an outburst! She tried to defend GOD and to fight for Him. I had been in her position many times before and, sometimes, I find myself there. Therefore, I understood her reaction even if I did not support it.

 

“Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it” (Proverbs 22:6).

 

Sometimes, the weapon that Satan uses to attack us is by attacking what we believe in and who we believe in. He attacks our gifts and callings needless to mention our knowledge of the word. Now, since we are human, our first reaction is to try and DEFEND the word of GOD or to try and defend GOD! Well, we cannot defend GOD just as we cannot defend His word – He can do that without our help!

 

“I am watching  to see that my word is fulfilled” (Jeremiah 1:12).

 

GOD watches over His word to see that it is fulfilled – we do not have to defend it. We must keep our peace all the time. We must remember that no one can nullify the word of GOD just as no one can erase all the years of Bible study or fellowship that you have invested in yourself or in your children. In fact, the word of GOD tells us to train up our children in the way that they should go and that they shall not turn from it when they are older. Keep doing what you are doing. Keep feeding them the word of GOD and be encouraged in the truth that they shall never depart from it.

 

“Lamedh Your word, O LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens” (Psalm 119:89).

 

Satan cannot succeed in making GOD, or His word, appear like a failure because GOD has won already. The word of GOD will not fall to the ground; it will accomplish all that He purposed for it to accomplish. In fact, His word is settled in Heaven regardless of what anyone says or does.

 

“for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable” (Romans 11:29).

 

 

You must also remember that GOD’S gifts are irrevocable. GOD will not repent for giving you the gift that He has given you. Do not try to defend that gift or calling – simply do what He has called you to do and leave the rest to Him. In fact, next time, if you find yourself in a position that demands that you defend GOD, His gifts and callings, His word or His name remember that GOD can handle it. Keep your peace – do not engage in any arguments or put up any defense in reaction to what the devil has said through someone. He may use anyone from your closest friend, family member, a member of your fellowship or even a Pastor. Do not be tempted to react. Your reaction could only lead to a big quarrel that will cost you your peace.

 

Prayer

 

Dear GOD, I have often taken nasty comments about you personally and have ended up trying to defend you while losing my peace along the way. Forgive me, I now know that you are more than able to defend yourself. I also know that the devil’s words can never nullify your word. Teach me to ignore the devil and all those that he uses to steal my peace. Teach me to be silent when I would have defended you using bitter words. Teach me to be so focused on you that the devil does not use me to question your word or your gifts and callings. Let me be so peaceful that I ignore much. Thank you, LORD, because you have done it. In Jesus’ name, I have prayed, amen. 

 

 

 

'Father, Forgive Them, For They Do Not Know What They Are Doing'

Have you ever battled with lack of mercy from someone that you wronged and apologized to but that was not willing to forgive you?

 

Have you ever considered that those who wrong you ‘do not know what they are doing’ and that you 'do not know what you are doing' when you wrong others? Maybe we would be more merciful if we always remembered this.

 

Today, GOD has quickened me to talk to you about forgiveness. I do not know if you mess up as much as I do but in case you do, this message is for you.

 

“And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your sins” (Mark 11:25-26).

 

I will often hurt people unintentionally but, over the years, GOD has taught me to apologize for my misdeeds but also to forgive those who have wronged me. It is so humbling to note that GOD is more willing to show me mercy than man is and it seems as if the more mercy I receive from GOD, the more I am required to show mercy man! You see, it is written that if I do not forgive men, my Father in heaven will not forgive me. Therefore, it is important for me to show mercy to man even if man is not willing to accord me the same privilege.

 

A few years back, a misunderstanding between two friends put me in a very uncomfortable situation. I was a friend to both of them and did not want to be caught in the ‘crossfire’. In addition, I treasured them both given our history together and had no reason to sever the friendship on either side. However, one of them tried to do so but being much older than she is I was mature about it and brought her back into my life.

 

Now, something happened after that to sway that ‘friendship’ again and it happened in the presence of her husband. He unknowingly shared things with me that I did not know of. Even if, I had considered myself a good friend and as such privy to such life battling experiences, this ‘friend’ had not shared them with me. Consequently, I expressed my disappointment to her husband who told her. My friend then went out of her way, took me out, and apologized for the misunderstanding and I forgave her. However, as usual, I felt that GOD was saying something. I felt that GOD was telling me that our friendship was nonexistent but since she apologized, we needed to forge a way forward or so I thought.

 

Now the time came, and I hurt the couple deeply. Of course, I apologized to her as my Father in heaven had taught me to do. Nonetheless, my apology was met with a thinly veiled lack of mercy. Even though, my friend insisted that they had put it behind them, I felt that something was not right. Therefore, I made some decisions in line with this that upset her so much that she found it hard to accept. A gap was created.

 

Months went by and being a servant of GOD, GOD expected me to bridge the gap and was not slow in telling me so. Quickly yet hesitantly, I took the necessary actions and tried to reconnect with her. However, even if she pretended to accept my aim at reconciliation, my friend was not willing to open that door again. I could tell that she had not forgiven me. For some time there, I felt hurt but then let it go by the grace of GOD. 

 

I would often look back at the above scenario and wonder about a few things. I wondered, and still do, how someone who went out of her way to seek mercy from me, and received it, could fail to offer the same to the one who had shown it to her...  

 

It made me sad but it also confirmed so many things to me. Maybe, the time when we had first had that misunderstanding was the time of closure for the ‘friendship’...maybe, my role in her life was not to be a ‘friend’ but a minister of GOD supposed to give her Godly counsel...oh...JUST MAYBE!

 

Whatever the situation really was, I am glad that I did all that I was supposed to do as a ‘friend’ but also as a servant of GOD – I made every attempt at reconciliation by reconnecting with her, by according her mercy when she needed it, and asking for mercy when I needed it in turn.

 

Today, I do not know why but the Spirit of GOD has prompted me to share the above experience with you. I feel led to tell you to examine that ‘relationship’, see what you have done well (in line with seeking mercy) by the guidance of the Spirit of GOD, and then rest your case. You have done all that GOD required of you. Let it go and leave the rest to GOD. 

 

“Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34).

 

We often approach the Mercy seat in search for mercy and GOD is always quick to give it to us. Sadly, though, we are less merciful to those who wrong us! Allow me to remind you that once someone says ‘I am sorry’ or ‘I apologize’, it is FINISHED! Just as He did on the Cross, thousands of years ago, shortly after Jesus said that ‘forgive them LORD, for they do not know what they are doing’, He said, ‘It is finished’! Once forgiveness or mercy goes out, IT IS FINISHED! You did your part and IT IS FINISHED!

 

It would also do us well to remember that people do not wrong us because ‘they know what they are doing’ they wrong us because they ‘do not know what they are doing’ just like our Savior said! Remember this next time someone hurts you!

 

Prayer

 

Dear GOD, I am sorry that I have often been merciless towards those that have hurt me yet you have been merciful to me. I now approach your mercy seat and ask you to forgive me for not showing mercy as much as you want me to. Give me the grace to be more merciful remembering that those who wrong me do not know what they are doing just as I do not know what I am doing when I wrong others. In Jesus’ name, I have prayed, amen.

 

 

VIP

There is change and it is good. The seasons have changed and you feel it in your spirit! You are being exalted and you are a VERY IMPORTANT PERSON! Be sure to walk onto that ‘red carpet’ when it avails itself! Some will hesitate to step onto it with you. Do not mind that – they do not smell the change, besides, it is your time... your time to shine!

DANCE!

Although I love singing, it is another story when it gets to dancing...in fact, I yearn to sing for GOD (outside the shower) and I know that it will not be bad at all. However, somewhere along the way I realized that I needed to learn how to dance as well. Therefore, I asked GOD to teach me how to dance.

“I will teach you how to dance for me”.

 

Recently, while going through my notes, I came across something that GOD said to me in 2007. He said that He would teach me how to dance for Him. When I read it again a few days back, I was shocked because I did not remember it. In fact, I asked Him to teach me to dance two weekends back while attending a Church service.

 

Now, on Wednesday my niece (Zion) invited me to a concert organized by the school she attends. At some point during the concert, it was decided that there would be a dancing competition between the parents and guess who was chosen in addition to two other parents?? You are right – I WAS CHOSEN! I, who knew nothing about the latest dancing strokes??? In fact, I do not remember when I had last danced outside Church and even then, very self-consciously silently praying that GOD teaches me how to dance for Him...

 

You must know that I nearly declined but remembered that I needed to be obedient to the nine-year-old MC! Therefore, I slowly and very prayerfully rose to my feet, made my way to the front of the tent setting, and in no time at all began dancing. You see, even if GOD had reminded me of His promise, that He would teach me how to dance for Him, days before the concert, I was not aware that the lessons had begun and that He had taught me how to dance already! In fact, I did not eagerly put up my hand to join the competition because I thought that I still did not know how to dance! The only hand that I put up was one requesting to be let out of the competition first! Of course, the nine-year-old MC declined.

 

The ‘dancing competition’ did not last long as the other two women were asked to leave since they were not doing a good job leaving the winner standing alone! I could not believe that I had won the dancing competition! My sister who arrived shortly after that, with her husband, could not believe it. You see, my wanting dancing abilities were no secret in my family until that moment!

 

As I made my way from the concert to run a few errands, I marveled at the ways of GOD. He chose a kindergarten concert, that I nearly did not attend because of so many errands, to prove His word to me and to give me a testimony! In fact, when I had read His word to me about dancing, I had thought that it was for a future time because I did not consider myself a good dancer just yet. I still saw myself as I did before not as one for whom GOD had already fulfilled His word. As I ‘skipped along’ the dusty road, I was further amused when I heard a radio in a small retail shop cheerfully playing one of my favorite songs, ‘I hope you dance’ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RV-Z1YwaOiw by Lee Ann Womack) as if to seal the fact that it was divine – I chose to dance not to sit it out! In fact, news that my niece, Angelica, had pointed me out to the MC did not dilute my testimony. GOD had had a point to make and He had made it! I now need to think right – I need to know that I know how to dance. I need to be confident because GOD taught me and I came out WINNER in a dancing competition that I would have considered small if GOD had not spoken!

 

How often do we look at the promises of GOD as a far away thing hardly knowing that He has already delivered? How often do we choose to 'sit it out' than to 'dance' not knowing that GOD is only waiting for us to 'dance' so that He can make us aware of the fact that He has answered our prayer or that He has fulfilled His promise to us?

 

“...the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were” (Romans 4:17).

 

Consequently, today, I encourage you to remember the promises that GOD has given you and then 'step out' and dare. Dare to do that which you could not do before. Dare to do that which you prayed about and that GOD promised to teach you to do. Dare to believe that He has already done it because He is indeed the GOD who says things that are not as though they were.

 

Prayer

 

Dear GOD, I repent that I forget your promises sometimes. I am held hostage by the fears that preceded your promises to me that I fail to see what your hand has already done. Please forgive me. I now ask you to give me the grace to let go of the fear and to be alert to the promises that you have already fulfilled in my life. In Jesus’ mighty name, I have prayed, amen.
